Then, pack in activities from classic 4x4 safari drives to fishing and canoeing in the delta, and quad biking across the lunar-like Kalahari salt pans (children riding pillion, of course) for the ultimate, intrepid family safari.

The Okavango Delta is the place to introduce children to the magical wildlife (and birdlife) that calls Botswana home. To teach the children something else on their Botswana family holidays - this time about other ways of life - you can spend time with hunter-gatherer Zu/hoasi Bushmen, who have the lived in the harsh desert environment of the Western Kalahari for thousands of years. Also in the Kalahari, you can spend a morning with a family of meerkats, following them as they forage and observing how they socialise and interact with their environment.
