Inspiration for your own tailor-made trip
Greece - Cyclades Islands
100% customisable for you
Upon arrival, take a private transfer and spend three nights in a hotel that blends into the island's arid landscape perfectly, located on one of the best beaches in the south and slightly set back from the bustle of the town. Some of the rooms have terraces with private pools, and offer magnificent sunsets. In addition, the thalassotherapy centre (which uses seawater as a form of therapy) is there to relax the muscles and soothe the mind.
The itinerary includes a private visit to the island of Delos. This sacred island - which is only 1.35 square miles - is currently uninhabited and offers a sharp contrast to its busier neighbour Mykonos. The island owes its sacredness to the legend of Apollo - son of Zeus and Leto - who is claimed to have been born here. Like Delphi, Delos was one of the main Panhellenic shrines dedicated to the Gods. Today, it is an iconic testimony to the civilisations of the Aegean world and their traditions. The Delia festival has been celebrated here every four years since 422 BC. It includes sports competitions, dances, theatre and banquets, and was one of the main events in Greece at that time.
Things to do and enjoy - Sip a glass of ouzo as you watch the sunset; go to the outdoor cinema; bathe at Agios Stefanos and Psarou Beach; laze under the eucalyptus trees in the village of Ano Mera; meditate in the Tourliani Monastery.
Private transfer to the port of Mykonos and boat crossing to Paros Island. Upon arrival, pick up your car and spend four nights in a charming little location, a calm oasis. The rooms are all situated around the swimming pool and open out over the bay. The contemporary interior is subtly decorated in white, ivory and linen tones. Kolymbithres Beach and the city of Naoussa are just a short drive away.
A few days here will give an insight into Paros and its various facets. The favourite destination for windsurfers is on the island's east coast, with strong Meltemi winds that blow all summer long. In the capital of Parikia, you can visit the Byzantine Church of 100 Doors and the small fishing port of Naoussa, where you can sit at the water's edge.
Option - A private kitesurfing course and a cruise around Antiparos.
Private transfer to the port and ferry to the island of Santorini. You'll get a warm reception followed by a private transfer and two nights' accommodation in a hotel perched on a cliff between sky and sea. The walls are lime-washed whilst the interior boasts robust colours - and all this against the backdrop of the deep blue Aegean Sea. The view of the sea and Skaros rock from your room is simply stunning. The swimming pool seems to overflow into the vastness of the bay, and this alone promises a fabulous stay.
Things to do and enjoy Take to the sea for a view of the island; enjoy sweets and biscuits on the terrace of a café; join a celebration at the Saint Catherine monastery; sail to the volcanic islands of Nea Kameni and Thirassia; take a walk through the white and flowered streets of Fira; stroll in the shaded streets of the villages of Monolithos, Messaria and Vothonas; visit the medieval fortress of Emborio and the archaeological museum.
The itinerary includes an exploration of the island with a private guide. With spectacular views created by a tremendous volcanic eruption, the island lies around an impressive sea crater. The tour can be personalised according to individual tastes and is accompanied by a guide. Something not to miss out on is the village of Pyrgos - built in the 15th century by Venetians - and its castle, which is one of the most well-preserved on the island; and the archaeological site of Akrotiri, one of the largest prehistoric sites in the Aegean Sea. Complete your exploration with a tasting of island wines.
Private transfer to the airport and return flight.
