DAY 1 FLY TO CAIRO

Your 12-day honeymoon in Egypt begins as you make your way to the airport for your flight from London to Cairo. You will be able to enjoy our exclusive Original Services, including fast-track services at the airport and lounge access, even if you're flying economy. The flight then takes four-and-three-quarter-hours and upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your luxurious city centre hotel.

DAY 2 VISIT THE PYRAMIDS AND ENJOY CAIRO

After breakfast this morning you will be met by your private guide for a day exploring the Pyramids of Giza and the buzzing city of Cairo itself. First stop: the incomparable Pyramids and Sphinx, which your expert guide will bring vividly to life as you learn about the various stages of Ancient Egyptian history. Then it's time to experience contemporary Egyptian culture as well, as you enjoy lunch in a lively local restaurant.

Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool at your luxurious hotel, and this evening you will enjoy a genuine 'like a local' experience in Cairo as you are shown around a fun neighbourhood in the city by a local resident.

DAY 3 ISLAMIC CAIRO

After a toe dipped in the waters of the capital yesterday, today your guide will show you more of Islamic Cairo, explaining the soul of this most energetic city through its architecture, religion and long history. It's somewhere that really benefits from the presence of an expert guide. You'll have the afternoon at leisure again, before a final dinner in Cairo.

DAY 4 FLIGHT TO LUXOR

After breakfast this morning you will be transferred back to the airport for the one-hour domestic flight from Cairo to Luxor. On arrival in Luxor you will be met and transferred to your home in Luxor for the next three nights. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing by the pool before dinner at the hotel.

DAY 5 THE HIGHLIGHTS OF LUXOR

This morning you will be met by your guide for a fascinating day spent exploring the many interesting sites in what was once the legendary city of Thebes. Your guide will take you to the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and the enormous Hatshepsut temple complex on the far side of the Nile. As before, having an expert guide really helps you get beneath the surface of these fascinating historic sites.

This afternoon, heads filled with new understanding of the beliefs of the ancient Egyptians, you will return to your hotel to relax and have a well-earned swim before enjoying dinner at your hotel. Alternatively, you can ask our local Concierge for the best restaurant recommendations.

DAY 6 LUXURIOUS LAZING ABOUT IN LUXOR

It's been a relatively busy start to your 12-day honeymoon in Egypt, so this morning you have the added luxury of not having to do anything at all. Enjoy a lie-in, lounge by the pool or in the lovely gardens at the hotel, and generally take it easy. Then, after a leisurely lunch, you will be met at the hotel and taken for another tour to learn about the history of this ancient city with first a visit to some of the temples in Luxor and - at sunset - a visit to the glorious colonnaded temples at Karnak, which look even more impressive as the shadows lengthen. Enjoy another dinner in Luxor before returning to your hotel for one last night before you head to the beach.

DAY 7 HEAD FOR HURGHADA ON THE RED SEA

Egypt's cultural heritage is second to none, but a luxury Egypt honeymoon wouldn't be complete without spending time on Egypt's Red Sea coast. After breakfast today you will be met at the hotel for the three-and-a-half-hour transfer to the Red Sea coast and your luxurious hotel near Hurghada. This is your extremely comfortable home for the next five nights. You will arrive in time for lunch and can then spend the afternoon wandering along the sand as you get your beach bearings.

Days 8 TO 11 ROMANTIC RELAXING BY THE RED SEA

You now have a blissful four days to do as little or as much as you like during the last leg of your 12-day honeymoon in Egypt. The Red Sea waters and reefs off Hurghada are perfect for divers and snorkellers, or just swimming in lovely warm water at pretty much all times of year.

In addition, we can arrange private boat trips to cruise the coastline, complete with picnic lunch, or trips into the nearby desert to drive quad bikes or ride camels. Closer to home, the hotel has an excellent spa where you can enjoy pampering spa treatments.

DAY 12 RETURN HOME

Sadly it's back to reality today, as your honeymoon in Egypt comes to an end. The good news is that you have time this morning for one last lie-in and a leisurely breakfast before your transfer to the airport in Hurghada. The flight to Cairo takes an hour, where you’ll catch your onward flight from Cairo to London, which takes a further five-and-a-half-hours.
