Inspiration for your own tailor-made trip
Croatia - Dalmatia
100% customisable for you
Private transfer on arrival and three-night stay in an intimate setting in the Veli Varos district in the heart of the Old Town. We love the quiet location, modern facilities, and pristine decor, as well as the warm welcome of the staff.
Included in the itinerary - the old town of Split, with a private guide. This Croatian city is really worth a visit. Its historical richness and slow pace of life call visitors throughout the year. There is nothing better than getting lost on foot in the shaded streets of the Diocletian Palace, which makes up the heart of the old town.
Optional - Gourmet outing to Split Market, followed by lunch.
Ferry ride to reach the island of Hvar where we stay for four nights at one of our favourite locations: a luxurious and trendy guesthouse nestled on the edge of a small cove. An old farmhouse renovated using the latest decor, its charming and rustic style are complimented by modern facilities and comforts. The herb garden descends towards the sea and provides small intimate corners among the olive trees. Lounge chairs are set up right next to the water; you can sit on the terraces for a drink before dinner. The hotel's restaurant serves up Mediterranean and Parisian bistro cuisine, which are complimented by the options in the wine cellar, with bottles from France, Italy and Croatia. For pampering, head to the small spa which offers professional and attentive personalised treatments. And then there's the beach.
Things to do and see - Stroll through the old town, bathe in one of the coves of the Pakleni archipelago, and take a scooter ride through the lavender fields of the island's interior.
Included in the itinerary - The island of Hvar by bike. This bike ride takes you to typical villages, with spectacular views of the Adriatic coast and to the house of poet Petar Hektorovic, built in the 16th century, and includes some climbs followed by invigorating rewards. The road you take will wind through the villages of Jelsa, Pitve and Vrbanj, lavender fields and olive groves. There's a reason this part of Croatia is nicknamed 'Little Tuscany'. Its fields are still cultivated using traditional techniques introduced to Croatia by the Greeks 2,400 years ago. Before lunch, a break is planned to taste local produce including olive oil and wine on a traditional farm located on the plain of Stari Grad, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Croatia has nearly 130 indigenous vine varieties, most of which are from the island of Hvar. You'll have the opportunity to discover Hvar in a different way through the tasting of authentic and quality organic products.
