There are numerous 'koh's - or islands - in Thailand sprinkled between the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. As some of the islands are rarely empty, this trip will take you to the antipodes, to two islands far away from the crowds: Koh Samet and Koh Kood. Before you fly, you'll stop at Bangkok: the energy is palpable everywhere. This trip is great during winter, when you can really appreciate the benefits of the Thai sun. At each stop, every hotel has been carefully selected for their privacy and peaceful atmosphere. All the elements have been organised so you can let go, experience the culture, swim, rest, have massages, take sea trips and go diving. Private car and boat transfers are included. And to extend your voyage of discovery, we have provided you with a selection of hotspots and a Wi-Fi router, for free-of-charge connection everywhere you go. Not to mention the support of our local Concierge, who can be reached at any time during your trip.

YOUR TRIP INCLUDES...

Koh Samet - Just a few miles from the mainland, this small island provides a contrast with the buzz and bustle of Bangkok. Here, nature has been preserved, both on land and under the crystal-clear waters. On the large beaches or in coves hidden by the rocks, you can come and go between the sea and your sun lounger; you can also choose from a range of water activities, such as canoeing, snorkelling or paddle boarding. After dark, the island comes alive - it's time to sample the local cuisine. It's time for a feast of seafood, too.

Koh Kood - Isolated but not entirely inaccessible, Koh Kood is located just east of the Gulf of Thailand and has influences from neighbouring Cambodia. Larger than Koh Samet, the island reveals its diversity to those who stay for a few days: multi-coloured seabed, crystal-clear waters, lush vegetation, mangroves and traditional villages. It's the perfect place to spend time together away from the world. Take time out for a spa treatment or a tai chi class, go to sea to discover the sublime seabed of the Gulf of Siam, and share dinner on the beach...

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

DAY 1 Flight to Bangkok

Overnight flight, arriving the next day.

DAY 2 Bangkok

Private transfer to the hotel for three nights. In Chinatown, your hotel is in a 20th-century historic building. The decoration replicates the glamour of 1930s Shanghai. Brick and lacquered wood are seamlessly combined with art deco motifs and a pool of lilies and carp passes through the lobby.

The itinerary includes a private trip from Bangkok to Don Wai along the Maha Sawat Klong canal. This long-tailed boat ride provides an opportunity to learn about traditional rural life in this community. You'll make several stops along the way, visiting lotus ponds, orchid farms, and rice paddies. You'll also take a break to treat yourself to some traditional Thai sweets, before continuing on to Don Wai market. One of the oldest markets in Thailand, this riverside market is a burst of traditional Bangkok located in the shadows of skyscrapers.

In the itinerary - A private tour of Bangkok's finest temples. The Wat Trimit is home to a golden Buddha statue, the most masterful in the world; the Wat Benchamabophit, a marble temple, is the oldest temple in Thailand but also a model of Thai architecture; the Wat Saket, on the other hand, is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok and to get there, you have to climb an artificial hill crowned by a golden tower before taking a staircase leading to a small shrine. All the temples share a unique story that you will hear about from your private guide.

Transfer to Koh Samet and three-night stay in a peaceful hillside haven in unspoilt nature. Beyond the sleek and spacious bungalows, magic is at play outside; there's an infinity pool facing the sea, and a small white sandy beach, just below you.

The motto in Koh Samet: live on the beach. Everything happens there, from sunrise to sunset, and to better appreciate its natural diversity, you need to take a dip in the sea. Situated in a national marine park, the waters bordering the island are home to an impressive variety of colourful marine life. Things to see and do - Sample the water sports - Relax during a traditional massage - Discover Hat Sai Kaew, the 'diamond beach' and its crystal clear waters - Go as far as Ao Hin Hok to see its mermaid statue which keeps watch over the bathers - Enjoy the sunset on the beach of Ao Phrao

Far from noisy beaches and sprawling resorts, you'll be staying at a hotel that is at one with nature. Beauty is all around: the beach and the forest line the villas, which have been sustainably-built using natural materials such as bamboo or wood. This harmony is complemented by decor that combines Thai elements and contemporary designs.

Untouched by tourism, Koh Kood Island is the easternmost island in the Gulf of Thailand, just a few miles from the coast of Cambodia. While the coastline has traditionally been populated by fishermen, the inside of the island is covered with wilderness. Its beaches are among the kingdom's best-kept treasures, and it's not uncommon to find a sea floor inhabited by thousands of fish. Things to see and do - Taste the catch of the day in the village of Ao Salt - Dive among the coral, turtles and multicoloured fish - Take advantage of tranquil mornings with a yoga session - Explore the island and its fishing villages on stilts - Test your balance whilst water skiing, windsurfing or wake-boarding

Transfer to Bangkok for your overnight flight this evening and arrive home the next day.
