Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Your direct flight to Corsica will leave London after lunch and land in Figari in the late afternoon. Once you have cleared customs and collected your luggage, you will pick up the keys to your hire car. From here, it is a half-an-hour drive to your chic boutique hotel on the island's south-east coast. You will arrive just in time for sundowners, so once you have dropped your bags off make your way to the bar for a drink or two before dinner at the hotel's restaurant. On the subject of food, on an island that's a beguiling combination of Italy and France, you can expect gastronomy that combines the best of both these delicious national cuisines throughout your stay.

Today, you will make your way to your hotel's sister property, which is right on the beach. Here, you can spend the day soaking up the sun, splashing in the sea and generally relaxing before you explore the island over the next few days.

After a lazy morning you will make your way to a local ranch, where you will mount up for three-and-a-half hours exploring Corsica on horseback. With an immensely capable guide, you will explore Corsica's wild south, galloping (or trotting, or walking - we won't tell) along valleys and to the top of spectacular mountain passes. You will end your ride on the beach, where you and your mount will go for a swim - it turns out horses love swimming almost as much as we do.

Today we recommend you enjoy the morning relaxing at your hotel before a lovely afternoon exploring Porto-Vecchio. This coastal town has a rich history and is perfect for self-guided exploring. We will provide a detailed destination Dossier, full of our favourite things to see and do in the town, and we recommend spending at least two hours at lunch (when in Rome and all that) before walking off some of the excess exploring the labyrinthine streets and beautiful piazzas.

This morning you will embark on a private catamaran trip from Bonifacio (a 40-minute drive south from your hotel) to the Lavezzi Islands. This small, uninhabited archipelago is roughly two miles from Bonifacio and the granite islands are perfect for a day trip. As you cut through the waves you can muck-in with the crew as much or as little as possible, making the most of your time out at sea. Following lunch on deck you will take the long way back to dry land in time for your last dinner on Corsica.

This morning you can settle any unfinished business with the sun lounger or do some last minute shopping before one last lovely lunch and early afternoon drive back to Figari airport in good time for your two-and-a-half hour flight back to London, arriving early evening.
