Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Your luxury family trip to Croatia begins today. After being fast-tracked through airport security, you'll be catching an early flight to Dubrovnik, arriving in the morning. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel just outside of Dubrovnik where you'll be staying for the next four nights. After you've unpacked and settled in, the rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish.

We recommend enjoying a restful start to your trip ready for the fun-filled days to follow. Catch some sun by the pool while the children blow off some post-flight steam and then, come evening, enjoy a tasty meal either in the hotel or in a nearby restaurant where our Concierge can recommend the best local family-friendly spots.

For the first full day of your luxury family trip to Croatia you'll be hitting the water for a full day sailing tour around the eye-wateringly beautiful Elaphiti Islands, a small archipelago made up of six islands and a scattering of idyllic islets. Wrestle the children into their swimsuits, lather them in sun lotion and then climb aboard your private boat, departing from Dubrovnik port this morning. Enjoy panoramic views of the walled city as you drift past and then it's onto the Elaphiti Islands where you will stop off at sandy beaches - perfect for swimming and sunbathing - along the way.

Before the all-too-soon moans of 'I'm hungry' pierce the tranquillity, fill your kiddos up with lovely local cuisine -which will be prepared for you on the boat - then, tummy's full, relax on the decks and enjoy the stunning surroundings as they bob by.

You will return to Dubrovnik port in the early evening ready for dinner in the city or an early night in at your hotel.

Today, on the third day of your luxury family trip to Croatia, you will be heading into the country's hinterland to learn about how silk is produced. You will be picked up from your hotel early this morning and driven 45 minutes to Gruda village in Konavle, a region known for its silk production. At a wonderful little art gallery learn about how the traditional art of Konavle embroidery and traditional craft is kept alive through producing silk the way their ancestors did (feeding silkworms and using their cocoons to craft the elegant fabric).

Watch fascinating demonstrations that will leave your little ones wide-eyed and then reward their focus afterwards with a glass of juice and generous slice of organic homemade cake.

This afternoon we can either suggest somewhere for lunch in Konavle, or you can continue back to Dubrovnik for a bite to eat in the city. Along the way, we recommend stopping off at Sokol Castle, a 14th century fortress located in the hills and home to various weaponry around the fort including the original cannons used by the Croatian military.

This morning, for the first half of your fun-filled day, you'll be setting off to explore sea caves and hidden beaches as you paddle around Dubrovnik's city walls and Lokrum Island - also called 'The Island of Love'. Accompanied by a guide, you will head out along the coast towards Lokrum Island where you will be taken to a hidden beach cave where you will have a break for snorkelling. The only way to reach this peaceful beach is from the sea so you will enjoy a private view of the city walls and no one around to disturb you as the children enjoy themselves.

After a break on the beach, you will paddle along the coast back towards Dubrovnik, again passing beneath the impressive city walls. Savour the breathtaking views of the city known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' from an entirely new perspective - unquestionably the most beautiful part of the excursion.

You will finish your kayaking adventure where you began, at Pile Bay, and then you'll have the rest of the day to yourself to wander around the Old Town, enjoy a leisurely lunch and see the city walls - this time from dry land.

Today you will be waving goodbye to Dubrovnik and travelling to Korcula - Croatia's sixth-largest island. You will be transferred from your hotel to Orebic car ferry port this morning and then it's a 15-minute ride to Korcula. Upon arrival, you will be driven ten-minutes to a fabulous family-friendly hotel where you will be staying for the next two nights of your Croatia family trip.

Located directly on a beach and a short walk from Korcula's Old Town, this is a great spot for time spent splashing in the sea and soaking up the culture.

After your busy day yesterday, we've left today free for you to explore Korcula at your own pace. Enjoy a lazy start to the day and then we recommend heading into Korcula Town - also referred to as 'Little Dubrovnik' - to explore the cute cobbled streets, magnificent medieval squares, charming churches and grand palaces. Climb the clock tower for panoramic views over the city and then come back down to earth for lunch in one of the many restaurants.

Come afternoon, you may choose to continue exploring the town or maybe you'd prefer to spend some time in nature while walking, cycling or windsurfing - the island is your oyster!

Pack up your bags today ready to head to Split. You'll be transferred to Korcula ferry port this morning and then it's a two-and-a-quarter hour journey by public catamaran ferry. Enjoy the fresh sea air and dreamy views during the crossing and then, on arrival into Split, you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel - a sea-facing beauty with plenty of charm and a central location close to the Old Town - where you will be staying for the next four nights.

After a bountiful buffet breakfast outside on the sunny terrace, day eight of your luxury family trip to Croatia sees you heading into Split for a half-day walking tour. After a bountiful buffet breakfast outside on the sunny terrace, day eight of your luxury family trip to Croatia sees you heading into Split for a half-day walking tour.

Croatia's second-largest city, Split is overflowing with must-see sites which have stood the test of time through thousands of years of history. Step inside Diocletian's Palace - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most impressive Roman monuments - see the Cathedral of St Domnius with its Romanesque bell tower, crypts and treasury; and visit Jupiter's Temple, dedicated to the Ancient Roman god.

If this all sounds a touch too cultural, your guide has been picked specifically because they can make this sort of information and place relatable to the children, with plenty of Horrible Histories Rotten Romans-style gory stories. Then, enjoy some more exploring before heading back to your hotel for a splash in the pool, a tasty dinner in the restaurant.

After a day of urban exploring yesterday, today the focus is on nature as you embark on a thrilling three-hour rafting excursion on Cetina River. Offering the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, the rafting trip - suitable for children aged eight and above - is one of the most popular adventures in Dalmatia. Alternate between drifting along gentle sections and tearing through second and third-grade rapids as you raft in this picturesque protected area of river.

The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish. Perhaps you fancy popping back into Split for a late lunch and a wander around the pretty streets or maybe you'd prefer to rest at your hotel after today's excitement.

Immerse yourself in nature on the penultimate day of your luxury family trip to Croatia as you head to Krka National Park for a full-day guided tour. You will be met at your hotel this morning by your guide and driver and transferred to the park where you will be accompanied along the wooden pathways that criss-cross the park and shown the best routes to beautiful viewing points - without the crowds.

After working up a sweat trying to keep up with your children as they explore ahead of you, enjoy a cooling dip in the river overlooking Skradinski Buk - the longest waterfall on Krka river.

Once you have explored the park, take a short boat ride over to the small fishing town of Skradin where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and rest your feet after your wilderness wanderings. On the way back, stop in Trogir, a small island connected to the mainland via bridges where you can take a short tour of the medieval town with your guide before returning to Split for your final evening.

Today is the final day of your luxury family trip to Croatia. Fill up on a hearty breakfast and soak up the final rays of sun before being transferred 30 minutes to the airport in time for your morning flight back home.
