An Adventure in Finland

DAY 1 International Flight

Your flight into Finnish Lapland leaves London in the early morning and lands in Ivalo three-and-a-half hours later. Once you have picked up your bags and wrapped up in your warmest coat and boots, you will be met by one of our team on the ground for a short private transfer to your first hotel. As it will already be almost dark, we have booked you in for a session in the hotel's forest spa, where you can enjoy traditional Finnish saunas, Jacuzzis and sit under the stars with a glass of something fizzy. If you're feeling brave enough, there's nothing quite as invigorating as taking a dip in the frozen lake, swiftly followed by a hot drink and blanket! Suitably relaxed, you will make your way back up to the hotel for a private dinner under the stars and, hopefully, the Northern Lights.

DAY 2 Heading North

After a late breakfast this morning you will be privately transferred to your next hotel, about 45 minutes further north. When you arrive, you will have time to settle into your room - and have lunch - before your guide meets you for a private snowshoe safari through the wilderness. As you silently make your way through the forest, your guide will tell you stories of Viking invaders and mythology and point out wildlife and the stars - it will be dark as night, after all! We can also arrange cross country skiing; tobogganing or a visit to a reindeer farm.

DAY 3 Snowmobiling

This morning you will be met at your hotel by an expert guide for a three-hour private snowmobiling tour of the wilderness. After a quick private transfer, followed by a brief snowmobiling lesson, you will take to the trails and explore. As you zoom through the wilderness, you will experience the beauty of the Arctic and the pure thrill of speeding across the snow.

When you return to your hotel, slightly frozen, we'd wager, we highly recommend spending some time in the sauna and enjoying a massage before dinner.

DAY 4 Husky Ride

This evening, you will be met at your hotel for a magical husky safari under the stars. After spending some time with the dogs, you will be put into teams to drive your own team of huskies under the instructions of a champion musher. As you race through snowy forests, over Arctic hills, and across frozen rivers, you will experience the way people travelled across snow planes for hundreds of years before snowmobiles. During the tour, you will stop for a while to sit around the campfire and hear stories of races from your guides - and have a warm drink!

DAY 5 International Flight

After breakfast you will be privately transferred back to Ivalo for your early morning direct flight home, landing back in the UK before lunchtime.
