Inspiration for your own tailor-made trip
Guana Islands - British Virgin Islands
100% customisable for you
Your exclusive Caribbean getaway begins with a 12-hour flight to Saint Martin via Paris. Before your flight, take advantage of our fast-track check-in and complimentary lounge access to make the beginning of your journey as stress-free as possible.
When you land in Saint Martin, take a short flight to Beef Island, the gateway to the British Virgin Islands. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred by car and then by boat (just a ten-minute crossing) to Guana Island.
You’ll spend the next four nights in a whitewashed cottage on this tranquil island: over 2,000 acres of unspoiled nature, including seven sandy beaches and hills covered in dense vegetation and colourful flowers. Look out for pink flamingos lazing on the vast saltwater pond and iguanas sidling across the paths. Only 35 guests are allowed to stay on the island at any one time, and you’re one of them.
Your time on the exclusive Guana Island is yours to spend as you please: laze on the beach of White Bay, or opt for one of the island’s six other beaches; escape into the water for snorkelling, waterskiing, kayaking or paddleboarding; watch a film under the stars in the open-air cinema; visit the island’s organic orchard and sample some of its produce; meet the donkeys on the estate and help the keepers take care of them; find your peace in an early morning yoga session; or indulge in an evening massage.
We’ll also arrange for you to take a guided hike along the island’s trails while you’re here. As you walk, discover the ruins of the sugar cane plantation and the stone foundations of the Lake House, before reaching the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain (806ft) for a dreamy view of the surrounding islands. The trail continues to Long Man’s Point, where a stone staircase cut into the cliff face takes you down to natural pools where you can enjoy a cooling dip.
Wave goodbye to Guana Island and gear up for your next ultimate private adventure. Today, you’ll be transferred to Beef Island where you’ll board your private catamaran for the next five days.
To make sure your next few days are filled with memories to last a lifetime, we’ve planned some exceptional experiences: sip a Paint Killer cocktail in the legendary Soggy Dollar Bar on the island of Jost Van Dyke; stop at the Callwood Rum Distillery in Tortola, an authentic pirate distillery; swim to Norman Island (said to have inspired Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island); discover the Baths of Virgin Gorda by sea, with their natural pools bathed in light and caves lined with coral; enjoy delicious dinners at the quayside; and swim with turtles in the Cooper Island reserve.
Sadly, your Caribbean escape has come to an end. Return to Beef Island where the cruise ends, and take a private transfer to the airport. You’ll fly back to the UK via Saint Marten, arriving home the following day.
