From west to east, as well as from north to south, the Mauritian coastline is a precious treasure. Whether it's for the first time or the fifth, the same feeling of calm and wellbeing envelops visitors from the moment they arrive in Mauritius. Perhaps it's simply due to the legendary Mauritian hospitality. Otherwise, it's the white sand, the still and temperate waters of the lagoon, the distant clamour of the coral reef or the wind rustling through the vacoas. So this is the setting for a quiet, tropical holiday. To the south-west first, at the foot of the majestic Morne Brabant and along a beach that is as beautiful as it is infinite. Protected from the trade winds and nestled in a lush garden, the charming bungalows are decorated in a Mauritian style and open out onto a postcard-perfect lagoon. Guests can bask by the pool, enjoy spa treatments or go riding, before sitting on the terrace to be indulged by a skilled chef. Then you'll head for the east coast for the second chapter. The accommodation has a subtle and oriental twist. Bordering the white sands of the Trou d’Eau Douce Bay, it offers a breathtaking view of the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Close to the pristine shore, there are two splendid islands: Ilot Mangenie, reserved exclusively for guests, and Ile aux Cerfs, on which there is an 18-hole golf course.

The journey

Upon arrival at the airport, a private vehicle will take you to your first accommodation. Once nestled at the foot of the Morne, it's impossible to resist the appeal of the lagoon. Board a private boat for a snorkelling trip with mask and snorkel where you can explore the underwater world and rich marine life. The islets around Mauritius are like beads that are within easy reach of the mother island. This is the case with Ile aux Cerfs, in the east, where you will have entry to the 18-hole golf course, as well as the Mangenie islet, reserved exclusively for guests, where they can enjoy lunch for two with their feet in the sand. For a change of pace, our local Concierge can help you to book a restaurant or organise a climb of Morne Brabant.

The ascent of Morne Brabant

Ranked by UNESCO both for its aesthetic beauty and as a place of remembrance (the site was a refuge for runaway slaves), Morne Brabant is an emblematic mountain of Mauritius. The views of the lagoons are simply splendid. It's a three-and-a-half-hour climb and 1,800ft to the summit with a private guide.
