Music has the innate ability to motivate, calm and inspire us, serving as the backdrop upon which we live our lives, and India is no exception when it comes to understanding and appreciating this. Music plays a pivotal role in life, religion and more here. It’s the expression of long-standing traditions and the artistic skills are passed down over the years. A master of this is musician Pandit Ram Krishna Bose, who is highly skilled in playing the Sitar, Santoor and Tabla. This is a must on the list of things to do in Udaipur, offering curious travellers an introduction to Indian classical music, which is then followed by a short voice recital and demonstrations on the Tabla and Sitar. An immersive experience that’s sure to reiterate the power that music holds within Indian culture, it will undoubtedly give you a new track to play on repeat, as you reminisce on a trip well spent.
