Travel Advice & Information
Kenya is a bucket list location for many travellers, and it's easy to see why. A safari here offers one of the world's greatest adventures. It’s a trek into the wild where you will experience the animal kingdom at its most raw and untamed. You'll discover exotic creatures in their primal habitat and feel closer to nature than ever before. Here are some of our top experiences on a Kenya wildlife holiday.
Begin your adventure racing through Masai Mara’s seemingly endless plains which flourish with wildlife making for some of the most spectacular safari experiences you’ll ever have. Enjoy a riverside breakfast in the bush as you crack open a bottle of bubble to the sound of hippos honking in the white waters or stop for an afternoon cup of tea under an iconic acacia tree with your guard nearby, keeping an eye out for lounging lions or even a sentinel cheetah.
The park is most famous for The Great Migration, the largest animal migration in the world and the ultimate Kenya wildlife holiday experience. Huge numbers of wildebeest and zebra migrate from Tanzania to Kenya in search of water and fertile grasslands. You’ll be on the edge of your seat as you watch these animals brave the crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River, only to be preyed upon by predators, including lions who stalk them from their hidden vantage points. Although a brutal natural phenomenon, this is by far one of the most spectacular things you will witness on a safari in Kenya.
In Amboseli National Park, the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro looms as large elephant herds graze majestically at its base. Hippos lounge along the river beds, journeys of giraffes graze on trees and zebras run freely; you'll have a front-row seat to it all, so sit back, relax and enjoy the silence of the savannah.
