Bhutan Visa Requirements
British Citizens need a visa to visit Bhutan. Applications should be made in advance through a tour operator (that’s where we come in) and the visa will be issued to you on your arrival.
Passport Validity for Bhutan Travel
Passports must be valid for at least six months after the date you intend to leave Bhutan and we advise that you take photocopies of your passport, visa and flight tickets, keeping them separate from the originals.
For further information, please check with the embassy.
Other Important Formalities
To enter Bhutan, you need to provide proof of travel insurance, which covers medical and personal accident risks, including air ambulance, helicopter rescue services and repatriation costs.
You must also have cancellation insurance to travel to Bhutan, although do check with your insurer that your policy fully covers Bhutan and the activities you intend to do there, including trekking and mountain biking. Not all insurers will cover travel to Bhutan so it is important to check this before you travel.
