Ethiopia Visa Requirements
You will require a visa if you are planning to travel to Ethiopia as a British citizen. We would recommend applying for a visa before you travel via the Ethiopian Embassy here in the UK (visit the website for full details), which will cost from £28 per person.
Alternatively you can get visas in two additional ways; you can apply for an e-visa ($52) if you are a tourist flying with Ethiopian Airlines into Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, (please go to the Ethiopian Immigration and Nationality Affairs Department website), or you can also buy a visa on arrival at Addis Ababa Bole or Dire Dawa international airports for $50 USD. Passport Validity for Ethiopia Travel
Your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Ethiopia. A passport sized photo and a copy of your passport are also required.
