Sri Lanka Visa Information:
Please note, the Sri Lankan visa process changed on the 17th April 2024. See latest information below.
British citizens need a visa to enter Sri Lanka; the best way is to apply for a short-stay visa as part of the new eVisa scheme. Visas are now valid for six months, with each stay restricted to 60 days, rather than just 30 days previously. If you’re travelling to Sri Lanka for work reasons, or you wish to stay for longer than 60 days in one go, you should contact the Sri Lankan High Commission ahead of your stay. You can also obtain a visa on arrival in Sri Lanka, but you may face delays.
Passport Validity for Sri Lanka Travel:
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival in Sri Lanka.
