Travel Advice & Information
There’s no place like Tanzania. In fact, it’s a wildlife hub and destination unlike any other, with countless world-renowned parks that’re longing to be explored. There’s the Serengeti National Park, that needs no introduction, with its epic landscape and Big Five spotting opportunities. Or Zanzibar and its neighbouring islands, that offer white sand shores and equally captivating marine life. However Tanzania wildlife holidays are spent, you can be sure that it’ll be a memorable trip unlike any other.
Experience the wonder of the Serengeti and the mammoth Ngorongoro Crater, home to fiery sunsets that bask the savannah in warm-toned hues, as the Big Five attempt to coexist in the varied landscape. Gentle giant elephants roam among elands, hartebeests and endangered rhinos in the crater. While resident wildebeests and zebras stay a little longer, avoiding the annual migration. Meanwhile, hippos can be seen in the permanent fresh-water pools and swamps - the perfect spot to snap the abundance of wildlife in its natural habitat.
Wildlife lovers rejoice, as a journey to Gombe Stream National Park, located in the westernmost region of Tanzania, sees you nestled along the shores of Lake Tanganyika in great company. Granted that company is the countless playful chimpanzees and other primates that the park plays host to, but this small and mighty region isn’t to be overlooked. In fact, this Tarzan-esq spot certainly packs a punch, with a sprawling and expansive landscape that marries wild woodlands, steep swooping valleys and grasslands, with the buzz of a tropical rainforest thrown in for good measure too. Plus, the cheeky faced monkeys and primates swinging overhead are pretty hard to resist!
